These terms explain what AlpineDesk does, what you're paying for, and the limits of our service. They're written to be clear — not to hide behind legal language.

AlpineDesk is an independent ski-holiday planning service operated by Justin Sams (ABN 17 996 577 511) as a sole trader in Australia. When we say "we", "us" or "AlpineDesk", we mean that business. When we say "you", we mean the person using the service.
AlpineDesk produces written planning advice for European ski trips. Specifically:
AlpineDesk does not book, hold, sell or arrange any travel product on your behalf. We give you the information; you do the booking, wherever and however you choose.
AlpineDesk does not take commissions, kickbacks, affiliate payments or referral fees from any hotel, airline, ski school, lift operator, transfer service or tour operator. Our only revenue is the AU$100 plan fee. This is deliberate — it's what keeps the advice independent.
The standard price for the full plan is AU$100, paid in Australian dollars via the payment link or invoice we send you after the free recommendation. We are currently running a limited-time launch offer of 50% off, bringing the price to AU$50. The price payable is always the one shown on the payment link or invoice at the time you order. There are no other fees, and we provide a receipt for every payment.
You only pay if you choose to proceed after seeing the free recommendation. There is no obligation at the brief or recommendation stage.
If you've paid for the full plan but change your mind before we send it, we'll refund the fee you paid in full — no questions asked. Just email us.
Once the full plan has been delivered, the fee is non-refundable, because the work is complete and the planning advice has been provided.
This refund policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be contracted out of. If our service is faulty or substantially different from what was described, you may be entitled to a remedy under that law.
The plan is advice, not a booking. Before you book anything based on our recommendations, you should:
We take our work seriously and use our personal, firsthand knowledge of European ski destinations. But ski trips involve many factors outside our control — weather, snow conditions, third-party pricing, supplier availability, flight schedules, force majeure events, and so on.
AlpineDesk is not liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you actually paid us (the fee for the full plan, or zero for free recommendations). Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
The plan we send you is for your own personal use in planning your trip. You may share it with the people travelling with you. You may not republish, resell or use it as the basis of a commercial product.
Information you give us is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. Material changes won't apply retroactively to plans you've already paid for.
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
