The Matterhorn over Zermatt on a clear winter morning
About AlpineDesk

Built by someone who actually knows the Alps

Most ski-holiday advice comes from people who've read a brochure. Ours comes from someone who's spent over twenty years travelling, skiing and working across the European Alps.

The person behind the plans

Twenty years of Alpine experience, at your disposal

Most ski-holiday advice comes from people who've read a brochure. Ours comes from two decades on the snow.

Over more than twenty years, Justin has skied resorts across the full breadth of the European Alps — from the steep couloirs of Chamonix to the sun-soaked Dolomites, from Austria's vast linked ski areas to the high-altitude glaciers of Switzerland. Many of them he's returned to repeatedly, across different seasons and conditions, building the kind of detailed knowledge that only comes with time on the ground.

As a qualified ski instructor, he's also seen resorts through a different lens — reading terrain from a teaching perspective, knowing which mountains work for beginners, which suit mixed-ability groups, and where confident skiers will find the space they need.

AlpineDesk is the distillation of all of that. Every plan draws on personal, firsthand knowledge — not marketing copy, not aggregated reviews.

Our model

Why we don't book anything

Most ski-travel services make money when you book through them. That creates an obvious conflict — their recommendations are shaped by margin, not fit.

AlpineDesk charges for the plan, not the booking. That means the advice you get is genuinely independent. No preferred operators, no affiliate deals, no hidden incentives.

When we recommend a resort, it's because it's right for your group. When we suggest January over February, it's because the snow data and our own experience support it. That's the only basis we work from.
